The Lutheran Voices Series

Lutheran Voices is a popular series from Augsburg Fortress that provides quality, accessible books by Lutheran authors on a wide range of subjects and themes of particular interest to Lutherans but also to the wider Christian community. The series is designed to inspire conversation about what it means to be Lutheran and how the Lutheran faith can enrich and guide both congregational and personal lives.

"The Lutheran Voices series is tapping into the rich resources of the church and bringing us together to talk about issues and ideas that shape our present and future. I am grateful to Augsburg Fortress for this valuable new contribution to the church's publishing ministry, and I encourage congregations take a close look
at the books in the series."

—Mark S. Hanson
Presiding Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America

Books in the Lutheran Voices series are ideally suited to small group discussion because they are brief in length — approximately 100 pages — and focused on a single topic. With new books continually coming out in this series, you will never run out of ideas to discuss. You can also use several books to cover a broad range of themes. And the books are reasonably priced, with specials available on bulk purchases.

Every Lutheran Voices book includes questions at the end of each chapter that can be used for personal development or to initiate discussions in a group setting. Some books now include online study resources, and more will become available as new books are added to the series. Please read on to learn more about this exciting new component to the Lutheran Voices series.

NEW!

Online study resources for select Lutheran Voices books can be downloaded free of charge to help you use Lutheran Voices for group study in not one, but two different ways.

  • A Leader Guide and companion Participant Handout offer the tools needed for a one-hour discussion on the general themes of particular books in the Lutheran Voices series.
  • The Leader Guide also provides suggestions for expanding the one-hour discussion to a series of sessions based on a chapter-by-chapter discussion of particular books in the Lutheran Voices series. To help get out the word about Lutheran Voices studies in your congregation, the online resources include a Publicity Flyer that you can download and customize it to fit your needs.
